Help raise funds for Leanne's Victorian Supreme Court battle

Leanne is a dedicated disability support worker being sued in the Victorian Supreme Court for thousands by her former employer - a for-profit Disability Services provider.
Leanne works with clients to coordinate and administer their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plans. She helps clients with accommodation, social supports and day to day living assistance.
Her former employer alleges Leanne breached her employment contract after some of her clients wanted to stay with her and followed her to a new service provider.
Leanne denies the allegations that she breached her employment contract or asked her clients to leave the services of her former employer. Leanne has put this on the court record in her defence.
Leanne is hugely dedicated to all her clients and has developed a trusted relationship with them. Leanne is their voice, their advocate. If some disability clients wanted to follow her then why shouldn’t they be able to?
How is it that a disability services provider can claim disability clients as their own and prevent them from seeing who they want and who they trust? Why should they be “Prohibited Clients” as they are described in the claim? NDIS clients are told they have a right to choose their own care providers. Surely their decisions should be heard and respected.
Leanne had worked for her former employer for less than a year, as a part-time worker on the minimum wage. Leanne has done nothing wrong but she faces financial ruin and risks losing her home.
She is in dire need of financial support to defend herself in this extraordinary case. I am trying to raise some funds so they be used to assist Leanne to pay the huge legal fees she will be faced with. Leanne is studying and working to support four teenagers living at home.
I have known Leanne for many years. Leanne is the kind of person we would all wish to care and support our family if they ever needed it.
She is not a top tier executive. She hasn’t stolen the secret recipe. She has dedicated her working career to looking after and advocating for the most vulnerable in our community. She does it with grace and humility.
This case threatens everything.
