Support for Lee Whitehorn and his family
Donation protected
We are here to rally support for Lee and the Whitehorn family as Lee reaches a very difficult chapter in his brain cancer journey.
Lee was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in May, 2021, following a sudden onset of seizures. The typical survival rate for this type of brain cancer is 14 months, and Lee has incredibly now been fighting this for nearly three years. In that time, he has had some big ups and downs, but has managed some great periods of good health where he and his family have spent time making beautiful memories and enjoying each other.
Unfortunately over the past few weeks, Lee has experienced a very significant functional and physical decline and the focus has now shifted to making sure he is comfortable and keeping him at home. The Palliative Care team have become more active in supporting Lee with his pain management and supporting Laura to care for him at home.
Although Lee is managing only a few hours of awake time in the day, he continues to try and enjoy his gorgeous boys, Max (6) and Jack (4), and Laura, when he is able. He can no longer read and respond to messages himself, but Laura is relaying all the love and support from his friends. Lee loves to hear these messages of support, so please keep it up.
This fundraiser aims to provide some level of financial support to the Whitehorn family during this horrific period.
Thank you all for your love and support for Lee, Laura, Max and Jack xx
