Support for Leslie Brewer

In November of 2016 Leslie was diagnosed with stage 4 colo-rectal cancer that included a large tumor in her hip.  Over the last 2 ½ years she has endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and a major surgery last September to attempt to remove the tumor.  At first the prognosis after the surgery looked good, but the cancer has returned and her doctors have told her that there is no longer anything they can do to prevent the cancer returning.  In the time Leslie has left the goal is to give her as much comfort as possible and to make memories with her friends and family.  To help manage her pain Leslie is looking at yet another surgery to insert a pain pump and additional chemo to try to pull the tumor away from the nerve bundle.  Her family is also needing to make renovations to their home to provide Leslie an accessible bedroom and bathroom as her leg never fully healed from the surgery and walking is increasingly difficult.  Once her pain is better managed from the upcoming surgery Leslie has dreams of travelling.  She would like to go to Vegas to see the strip and a cirque show and would like to go to Disneyland with her nieces.  Those of us who have had the pleasure of knowing Leslie have often been on the receiving end of her love and kindness.  The last couple of years have depleted her funds to make all of these things a reality.  If like me you would like to give something back to Leslie, she and her family could really use your help.
