EMERGENCY FUNDS for Uganda LGBT refuges

I'm helping a friend raise money for an LGBT+ refuge in Uganda. The refuge is independent. It was founded and is run by Ugandan activists, and supports more than 40 young people who have fled or been evicted from their homes of origin because of their sexuality. Due to a long and complicated history of colonialism, homosexuality is still a punishable crime in Uganda so it is very hard for the refuge to raise funds within the country given that their location, identities and motive need to remain confidential. Being a grassroots project, they have limited contacts to countries outside of Uganda. They are currently struggling to meet everyone's basic needs and because the occupants have been outed, they are very unlikely to find employment. There is particular urgency to buy enough food for everyone, as well as pay for medical care.
