Support for Lindsay Badger’s Family

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sidney, I was fortunate to have had Lindsay in my life. I had the privilege of working with Lindsay Badger for years on online teaching courses, and we shared a close friendship for over a decade. I watched Abby and Ethan grow up from the many pictures and videos Lindsay posted and bought too many Girl Scout cookies over the years. I was fortunate to spend time with the family when I was in Oklahoma and collaborate on many projects with her. Lindsay was an incredible person whose sudden loss has deeply impacted her many friends, family members, and the wider community.

About Lindsay:
Lindsay was not just a loving mother and devoted partner, but she was also an exceptionally talented artist. You can see her art here and see her art streams here. Her creativity and warmth touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She had an infectious passion for life and an incredible ability to connect with people, impacting everyone she met. Lindsay’s artistry reflected her vibrant spirit, and her dedication to her family was evident in everything she did. Her last FB post was about how proud she was of her kids. She was beloved by her friends from the Blab community and streaming platforms and her many art fans.

The Tragic Incident
Lindsay and her family were involved in a devastating hit-and-run accident in Norman, Oklahoma. On a Sunday evening, while driving through the intersection of West Rock Creek Road and 60th Avenue Northwest, their vehicle was struck by a 2017 Chevy pickup truck driven by 22-year-old Bradyn Thomas Brown. Witnesses reported that Brown was driving at a high rate of speed, estimated to be over 90 mph, when he ran a stop sign and collided with Lindsay's vehicle. The impact of the crash was severe, resulting in the tragic death of Lindsay, who was pronounced dead on arrival.

Lindsay's partner, Josh, who was critically injured in the crash, has been taken off the ventilator and is continuing his recovery. Their children, Abby (13) and Ethan (10), also remain hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to recover, though they face a long road ahead. This incident has profoundly impacted the community, with many expressing their condolences and support for the grieving family.

Details of the Incident
The location of the incident was at the intersection of West Rock Creek Road and 60th Avenue Northwest in Norman, Oklahoma. Following the collision, the suspect fled the scene on foot. The Norman Police Department launched an extensive search operation and eventually located him at a Love's Travel Stop off Highway 9 in Norman. Upon being approached by the police, he immediately began discussing his involvement in the collision, confirming his responsibility for the tragic event.

Investigations revealed that before the deadly crash, the suspect had been involved in multiple collisions earlier that day. Witnesses reported that he had rear-ended another vehicle in Moore, Oklahoma, and fled the scene, driving recklessly on Interstate 35. He ran another stop sign near 48th Avenue Northwest and West Rock Creek Road before the fatal crash. During questioning, he admitted that he fled the scene because there were narcotics, specifically fentanyl, in his vehicle, and he did not want to be caught with them.

Legal Proceedings and Community Impact
The driver responsible for the fatal crash that killed Lindsay Badger and injured her family has been identified as a 22-year-old. He has been charged with first-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death, and leaving the scene of a collision resulting in injury. He was found in possession of fentanyl at the time of his arrest and admitted to fleeing the scene because he did not want to be caught with the drugs. His bond has been set at $1 million, and the legal proceedings are ongoing as the community closely follows the case, hoping for justice for Lindsay and her family.
