Support for Healing & Recovery for
Lirio & Anthony
For the past 10 years my little sister Lirio
has been battling Primary Biliary
Cirrhosis and Autoimmune Hepatitis.
This disease attacks the liver and slowly
progresses and leads to liver failure. Her
husband Anthony and my nephews have
been her reason for living and fighting
this disease with a smile on her face. She
has been brave and has been putting up
with so much pain and discomfort for too
long. She has had many complications
and there have been many stressful stays
in the hospital and with that came
financial burdens. Times have been
tough and they’ve been through alot but
they never let it bring them
down.
Lirio needs a liver transplant to save her
life and by the grace of God her husband
Anthony is a match and is her living
donor. Today on 9/23 they have gone
through the ultimate example of their
love and sacrifice. They will be
recovering from a major surgery at the
same time in separate rooms. He will be
in the hospital for 1 week and she will be in for 2 weeks before being sent home to
continue healing and recovery. As I write
this Lirio is currently in surgery and stable. We are all praying for a smooth surgery
and recovery.
My sister will be donating her diseased
liver for research and her husband will be a part of liver regeneration research so that
their experience may help others.
Please, I’m asking for your help with
anything you can so my sister, brother in
law and nephews may have 1 less thing
to worry over during this time. Your
donation will be greatly appreciated and
will reduce their financial stresses so they can focus on healing. It will help with any
related medical expenses including long
term medications, necessities, utility bills,
food and gas to get to and from follow up
appointments.
Please keep them in your prayers that they may have many healthy years ahead of
them to look forward to.
Not everyone is as fortunate as Lirio to
have her husband be a match. It is a miraclethat he was able to be her donor.
