On Tuesday, September 28, Logan Shrum, was involved in an accident and was life flighted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was riding his motorcycle when he was struck by a vehicle in Cookeville, TN. He sustained multiple, serious injuries to his left leg and foot including several fractures, large/deep cuts, and sigfificant damages to muscle and other soft tissues. He has had 3 surgeries so far for debridement, to place rods/screws/plates, and to close as many wounds as possible. At this time, he still has multiple wounds open with wound vacs in place. Along with those procedures he has more planned in the near future including skin grafts, closures of wounds, and more repairs. He and his wife, Mandy, have been at Vanderbilt since the accident occurred and at this time we are unsure when he will be returning home. We are spreading the word to raise money for him and his family to cover any medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance, as well as living expenses while he recovers. He has a long road to recovery with rehab, appointments, and other possible surgeries in the coming days/weeks/months. Some of you may know, they have recently announced that they are expecting their first baby, so our hope is for us to remove any extra burdens or stresses for them, wherever possible. Let’s come together and help this family in their time of need.
