Her attacker, Cyril Destin, has a criminal record spanning two decades and is currently facing charges. This fundraising is aims to bring the Lohr family back to New York to show them the city’s love, hospitality and appreciation despite their unfortunate experience earlier.

To honor Amber's courage and support the Lohr family, One New York Love and MMC are spearheading this fundraising campaign. The funds raised will facilitate the family's return trip to New York City and whatever amount left will be given to the family directly.

This fundraising initiative was recently announced at a press conference that took place at the corner of 43rd Street and Eighth Avenue, the site of the attack.
