Support for Lourenco Family's Tragic Loss

UPDATE 12/20/24: We received word that Matthew (14) has now also passed and joined his mom, dad and sister. Jason, Jenn's brother, told me they intend to donate organs to 5 recipients, giving others a chance in life. ❤️

On December 15, 2024, on their way to church, the Lourenco Family were hit by a speeding sedan attempting to cross Lender (CA 165) heading west on Greenway Ave in Turlock, CA.

Their SUV was subsequently struck on the driver's side, killing Jennifer Lourenco, her husband Daniel, and their 16-year-old daughter Madelynn. Their oldest daughter, Emma (18), and son, Matthew (14), are still in critical condition.

My name is Stephanie Wallace and I taught with Jenn at Sinclear as a special education teacher. I'm not going to repeat what everyone has already heard in the news; we know she was amazing. For myself and our partner teacher, her loss has been indescribably painful. For the time she gave us and our students, I would like to give back to helping care for her and her family. I ask anyone willing to donate to help pay for funeral expenses and medical costs for the family. Once the money is received, I will be working to get a check to the Turlock Tuneral Home, at the family's request.

We don't know if, when, or how the Lourenco kids will come out of this, but whatever burden can be taken off of their shoulders is something I strive to do for my friend. As a mother myself, it's what I would have hoped and prayed someone would have done to help my family.
