Rt 3 Accident, Support for Luis 'Papo' Santiago's Daughters

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of our father, Luis "Papo" Santiago, who has unexpectedly passed at the age of 55. On the morning of July 22nd, 2024, he was killed in a truck accident on Route 3 in Clifton. He was a loving father to three daughters, a grandfather, a son, brother, husband, uncle, friend and more. His life was a blend of dedication on the road and unwavering love for his family and friends.

His truck was more than just a vehicle, it symbolized his commitment to his job, as he navigated countless miles with a work ethic that earned him the respect of his colleagues for the last 35+ years.

Outside of his professional life, our dad was a devoted father who was always present for important moments and everyday support. He loved nothing more than seeing us happy as he always prioritized time with his family.
His role as a "papa" of two beautiful grandchildren was equally remarkable, as he delighted in spending time with them and creating cherished memories. Whether it was enjoying a day at the park, experiencing the fun of a carnival, or sharing a meal at our favorite spot, he always made sure the time spent together was filled with laughter and happiness.

Our dad also loved playing dominos and watching football with an ice-cold Pepsi in hand. Those were his favorite pastimes, where he found joy and relaxation. Each game of dominos was more than just a match—it was a chance for laughter, meaningful conversations, and a touch of friendly competition. Sundays were reserved for football, a time when he would cheer passionately for his team, the 49ers. These simple pleasures brought him great happiness and were a big part of who he was.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing our dad knew how much of a joy he was to be around. Whether through his witty remarks, playful jokes, or funny stories, he had a remarkable ability to lift our spirits and create moments of genuine happiness. His laughter was infectious, and his playful antics often turned ordinary days into treasured memories.

His death has left a significant void, felt profoundly by his family and friends. Yet, his legacy of dedication, kindness, and the many treasured moments with his loved ones will be remembered and cherished forever. We are grateful for the time we had with him and the memories we forever hold dear. We appreciate all the support and condolences during this difficult time as we honor and remember a truly extraordinary man.

Love you always Pa, from your girls.
P.S. -- The next time you drink a Pepsi, raise a glass for our dad.
