Support for "Ma Roberts & Esaan Thai"

Esaan Thai, a small, Mother and Son family owned business in Maine has had it's challenges, from the 2020 Pandemic, to a devastating fire that forced them to change locations, they have always endured, even pulling off the Best of 207, and they have always done it together.

This new challenge is something that is pushing them to their limits. On February 17th, at about 12:30am, Ma Roberts was rushed to the emergency room with sever stomach pains, where she would lay hooked to IVs for 4 days until the doctors removed her gallbladder. Thinking they were in the green, just 4 days later she was readmitted back to the ER for emergency surgery due to complications.

She has been out service ever since, unable to work and the road to recovery is a long one. As the business is just the two of them, her son Ben has been unable to reopen and therefore the store has been unable to generate any income. With Portland's high cost of ownership and zero revenue stream, our local friends at Esaan Thai are feeling it, and they won't be able to overcome this one alone.

These are Portland Locals, small, family owned and operated and they need our help. With Ma Roberts unable to return for at least another 6 weeks, there questions are starting to get asked, can we sustain, should we shut down ?

Let's lend them a hand, evening the smallest of donation goes a long way. If we can gather as a community to help lift them up, we can prevent another beloved local Portland establishment from closing it's doors.
