Support For Mannina

A fellow pilot needs our help. Lisa Mannina was recently diagnosed with invasive ductile carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. This happened just 10 short months after moving across the country to fly for a small scheduled and on-demand operator, the first step in her path to an airline career. Lisa paid her dues, fueling airplanes, flying pipeline to build her time, taking loans to pay for her training.
Lisa and wife Kristen, a full time student, moved from Louisiana to the northeast to fly for a company out of Connecticut. During the winter months, they were based in Puerto Rico where Lisa was preparing for a Captain upgrade when their world went inverted.
Lisa and Kristen are expecting their first child this Spring. As the sole provider for her growing family and facing huge out of pocket expenses while trying to maintain everyday expenses, Lisa needs our help.
The Mannina’s are returning to Louisiana where Lisa will undergo a double mastectomy, reconstructive surgery, and possible chemotherapy. Money raised will help to cover treatment costs, copays, high deductibles and living expenses until she can return to work.
Lisa is always first in line to help others: volunteering for Cajun Airlift, helping with flood recovery efforts, supporting 99s’ projects such as Fly Buddy Seminars, Airshow Outreach and Fly it Forward Events, supporting girls in aviation. Now we can show up for her by relieving some of the financial burden so that she can focus on getting healthy again.
Thank you for anything you can do for Lisa and her growing family.
