Support for Marc & Diana Fleischer after Mudslide

Hello my name is Sheyne Fleischer, On Friday January 13th, my parents Marc & Diana (and Max the dog) were affected by and had to flee their home because of the mudslide on Olema Road in Fairfax California, cause by the unprecedented barrage of atmospheric river storms.

They were the lucky ones, the duplex they have lived in for over 35 years has not been red-tagged. Like all the other residents they were evacuated by the fire department, and told they could not return until the area was given an "all clear."

Marc is a full-time caregiver for Diana who has extremely limited mobility, depends on supplemental oxygen and needs care for her daily activities. They live on a fixed income, with very little wiggle room in their monthly budget.  

They have been living in a hotel and having to buy 3 meals a day (vs cooking from a freezer/pantry), which is putting a tremendous strain on their limited savings.  

While I am trying to help them out, I live on the other side of the state and do not have the resources or space to rehome them (nor can my mother handle the strain of traveling 300+ miles). None of our local family has the resources needed to temporarily rehome my disabled mother as we wait to see if and when they can return to their home.I am hoping to raise money to cover their hotel and food expenses while living in limbo.  

The Hotel (with taxes and fees) is around $200 a night, and they are having to spend around $40 a day on food. 

We do not know how long they will be forced to eat through their savings in this manner. If they are able to return home, all of the perishable food will need to be trashed and replaced.
