Support Mark and Raelynn Reimer as they care for Deklan

Deklan was admitted to the Childrens Hospital on Tuesday, May 28th due to horrible head pain and migraine like symptoms which had been progressively getting worse since the weekend. After regular migraine treatments did not help lessen his pain he was sent for a CT scan. It was during this scan that the medical team found a large abscess on his brain, directing behind his right eye. Deklan was then rushed into emergency brain surgery, while the abscess was currently contained, if it spread would become life threatening.
The initial surgery went as planned and the abscess was drained. Deklan remained at the childrens hospital in Winnipeg for a week as the Dr's and medical team came up with the best plan of action for his recovery. He was monitored closely by his medical team and was discharged from the hospital on June 7th. Mark and Raelynn and Deklan moved into the Ronald McDonald House in Winnipeg as they still needed to be close to the community IV program where they went twice a day to learn how to administer Deklans IV medication, which he was told he would be on for the next 8 weeks at least.
On Tuesday June 11, Deklan woke up in the morning unable to comprehend what Mark and Raelynn were saying to him, and was unable to form clear sentences, and instead was speaking incoherently. He was rushed back to the ER at the childrens hospital and underwent an emergency CT scan. What they found was the abscess on his brain had not remained empty, but had refilled and had grown larger from his original scan. Deklan will be undergoing another brain surgery (the afternoon of June 11th) to drain the abscess. It may require a larger craniotomy then the last time. Because the abscess has refilled - this will make for a much longer recovery for Deklan, with a lot of unknowns on the Horizon.
This go-fund me is to help relieve any financial strain Mark and Raelynn are feeling as they navigate the next few months of Deklans recovery. It has not been an easy couple of weeks for either of them. Because they live outside of Winnipeg - the funds raised will help cover travel, temporary housing, food and help supplement loss of income as Mark and Raelynn are both unable to work at this time.
Please share this go-fund me page and consider supporting them. Above all, your prayers are the most coveted - as prayer has been a pillar holding up this family during this time.
