Support for Mark Linsley & Family

To meet Mark Linsley is to love him! He is outgoing, interested in others of all ages, a great storyteller, athletic, an adventurer, loves his family, and most of all, he loves the Lord and desires to serve Him in all he does. Mark & Dusty are a true blessing to others!

And now, we hope others can be a blessing to them. About five years ago, Mark donated a kidney to a 20 year old family friend with a kidney disease. Once he healed from that, all was going smoothly with his health until recently. In July, he helped lead a backpacking trip to Wyoming with the church youth group. Just weeks later, a mass was discovered in Mark’s only kidney and he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He immediately began dialysis and undergoes the long process of dialysis five days a week.

This was a devastating blow to a man who is so energetic and life giving to those around him. Mark and Dusty have clung to God’s promises and are trusting Him. How can you help? In two ways. First, please pray for Mark. He is very weak and often in pain. Pray for his physical healing. God has led them to the University of Michigan to a kidney cancer specialist. Pray the treatment is effective. Pray for Dusty and their children. In addition, perhaps you could donate to assist them. This is a long term process. Loss of income of both Mark & Dusty, medical expenses, travel and lodging expenses, vehicle and vehicle maintenance costs, and added living expenses are both real and difficult. Your donation will go directly to them and allow them to focus on Mark’s healing.
