Support for Marvin Harkess Family

Hi My Name Joshua Harkess I am Marvin's brother.

Dear, friends & family! Our (son, husband, dad, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend and colleague) Marvin is MISSING.

Marvin is a 46-year-old Guyanese man who currently lives Snellville, GA with his family. Marvin is a dedicated husband to his wife Beatrice and a terrific dad to his two children Camilla and Jeremiah. Marvin and his family are active members of the Conyers Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he serves as Councillor with the Conyers Conquerors Pathfinder Club.

Marvin is a humble well spoken individual with an infectious smile and compassionate heart who will not hesitate to sacrifice his own comfort to assist the needy.

Marvin was last seen on February 2, 2024 in the parking lot of his employment (AdaptHealth) in Norcross, GA. Marvin is a spiritually grounded individual who is very efficient and excels in all of his endeavors. He has a jovial relationship with all of his colleagues and leaves a lasting impression on anyone he encounters. Marvin does not have any history of mental illness, he does not drink alcohol, smoke or suffer from any substance abuse issues. Marvin's phone and jacket were found in a separate location a short distance from his place of employment. As far as we know Marvin is in possession of his wallet, but there is no sign of any activity, so far we have received no leads as to his whereabouts.

The bizarre nature of Marvin's disappearance is completely out of his character, everyone who knows Marvin knows there is absolutely nothing that would keep Marvin away from his wife Beatrice, daughter Camilla, son Jeremiah, his mom Ishvari, sisters Linda and Christine & brother Joshua.

Our extended family, friend, colleagues and supporters are concerned for Marvin's overall health and well being. We believe Marvin may have suffered a sudden onset of memory loss or some other medical event that caused him to get disoriented. Marvin may be in search of food, shelter, in desperate need of medical attention and help finding his way home.

The Norcross Police department informed us that they have exhausted all investigation options into Marvin's disappearance. As a family we have decided to pursue all available options to locate and return Marvin home to us safely. We have engaged a private investigator to work alongside law enforcement, our family and community at large to expand our search for Marvin.

Dear, family, friends, colleagues and supporters. We are asking for your support to help raise funds to pay for: private investigator and help to provide financial security for Marvin's wife Beatrice and his children Camilla and Jeremiah's health and welfare. The funds will be used for the family day to day essential needs, household expenses; mortgage, utilities, and bills to keep them comfortable until Marvin is found, re-united with them, and medically cleared to return to work.

We thank everyone in the community who has rallied behind our family, supporting us with prayers, meals, participating in searches, sharing his missing person photos, calling shelters and hospitals, and the list goes on.

With every passing day, we continue to remain hopeful for Marvin’s safe return home to his loving family, his church and community he serves in Georgia.
