Support for Matt Stoddard's Family, RIP Matt

Donation protected
Hello everyone. My name is Andrew, brother of Matthew Lee Stoddard, brother-in-law of Carlie Stoddard, and uncle to their three children: Eli, Piper, and Skyler. I hope this story finds you well. I am looking for assistance in supporting Matt and Carlie to cover medical expenses when tragedy struck this sweet family. Before I get into that I'd like everyone to know a few things about Matt.

Matt is a loving husband and father to their three beautiful kids. He spends every second of the day loving Carlie, doing anything and everything in and around Chattanooga/Tennessee area with family, and answering all the curious questions a five-, nine-, and 12-year-old may ask. Matt has been married to Carlie for over 20 years. The first story I heard about their relationship was when Carlie was stricken by his charm, good-looks, and mostly his biceps. They have been together ever since moving around the country and through several states. Throughout their marriage, they have traveled and experienced life and love together making cherished memories and cherished children along the way. These travels can be experienced vicariously through gifts dotted around their home. If you have been around Matt for anytime, you will know how generous he is. No matter the location or who you are - he will insist on getting you a gift, snack to share, or buy your meal and will not take no for an answer. Even if he's coming home from a quick trip to the store you can guarantee he thought about you and grabbed you a candy bar or a drink, just because he knows what you like.

When he isn't busy with family, Matt is the hardest working man I know. He dedicated all of himself to his career. Starting with pushing a broom around a construction site as a young man and working his way up to Operations Manager for Lee Company successfully leading offices in Cookeville and Chattanooga. Matt is an avid learner, teacher, and talker - anytime he is asked a question he is savvy on he will take time and care to help you understand the answer and sometimes it may lead to more conversation than one is looking for. But Matt loves to talk to anyone who listens, and you can sense how much each conversation means to Matt.

Without warning: tragedy struck Matt and his family. On Wednesday 5/22/2024, Matt suffered Cardiac Arrest and after a lengthy session of CPR and eventually defibrillators, medical providers were able to restart his heart and get him into the ICU where he is currently on life-support. Through the last week he has been made stable but is still in a critical condition. We are hoping and praying for signs of improvement but at this point nothing is certain as to what the next steps are. Between now and 5/22, this sweet family's whole world has been changed. The kids have been absolute troopers and just hoping their daddy makes it home to love on them again. I am looking to help Carlie in any way possible as she stays strong for Matt and their kids. Since Wednesday she has been by his side, talking and telling stories to keep him company and remind him of better days before this. Support provided will go directly to Carlie to help cover medical expenses incurred during his recovery. Thank you for your time and please keep Matt and family in your prayers and good thoughts. We are all hoping for a miracle.
