March 2025 Update:
Hello everyone,
I wanted to write a much needed update at this current moment. It has been 10 months since my accident and I have made great strides in my recovery. I can walk again with a brace on my leg. My knees are bending much better but still are limited to about 90 degrees flexion. My left arm however is still not working and we have exhausted all nerve repairs. There are still plans for future surgeries (muscle transplants, etc.). But insurance is starting to deny a bunch of things, including my rehab visits.
On top of this, the most pressing issue is my living situation and this is where I need your help most. I have been unemployed for these 10 months since my accident. I live at home with my mother who has been mainly occupied with me this whole time. As such, it has been extremely difficult for her to support the both of us. And now, we are being given no choice but to move out of the apartment by the end of this month. I will only return to work at some point in the next week or so. We need help for finding a new home and that involves several expenses: security deposit, first month, and moving itself. I have never imagined being at such a point in my life and I am afraid because I don't want to be homeless as a now disabled individual. If you and others you know decide to contribute to my dire situation, it would mean the world to me and my mother. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Words on the accident by my friend Nicole:
Hello Family, Friends, & Supporters
On May 2 of 2024, our world turned upside down when our friend, Max L, suffered a tragic motorcycle accident. Max was taking one of his peaceful rides around the Kensico Reservoir when he lost control on a turn and hit the guardrail, causing him to land in the water.
He managed to keep his head above water long enoughᅳ15 agonizing minutes with multiple catastrophic and life-threatening injuries and almost total loss of bloodᅳuntil 3 motorists were able to pull him out of the water prior to police arriving on scene.
That proved to be only the beginning of the nightmare for him. For the next 16 hours after his rescue, Max was rushed into emergency surgery as an unidentified unconscious John Doe and fought valiantly to stay alive without family or friends by his side.
My name is Nicole, and I'm part of the Suhgoi auto team here in Central Jersey. I had the privilege of knowing Max even before I joined the group and introducing him to everyone was one of the best decisions I ever made. Max's presence has left an indestructible mark on all of us. His passion for cars is infectious, and he’s always there to share his knowledge and enthusiasm. He’s also an incredibly talented photographer, capturing stunning images of our builds that we all cherish. His creativity and work inspired all of us to look at the hobby we love in a completely different light.
If you knew Max, you would know that he is so much more than a friend, but the light in all our lives that always stands with an open, friendly smile and helping hand. Now he needs our help. We are raising funds for his long-term medical treatment, and afterward, the immense uphill battle to a full recovery. While he has already had 6 surgeries, he is still due for a few more. Your generosity would mean the world to this wonderful person, giving him the much-needed care and support he deserves.
Please, make Max smile again. Let's team up and show Max we are with him in this fight.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support during these tough times.
