Support for Michael Dameron’s Medical Expenses

I had the opportunity to visit with Michael while he was in the hospital the other weekend. He is looking good, rocking his shaved head and his spirits are up. Leave it to Michael to stay so positive through this ordeal. They were not able to operate to remove his lymph node as it was wrapped around ligaments and such. Luckily it did respond well to the chemo and the swelling is already down. It looks like he will be continuing treatments through November, he will have to go to St Louis several times a month, on some trips he will be in the hospital, and others will be outpatient and he will have to get a hotel. His dad has been super supportive and has been taking him to all his appointments. It doesn't look like Michael is going to be able to work during this ordeal, so every donation really counts and will help with not only the medical bills but the hotel and gas expenses. A BIG thank you for all the love and support so far. But we really need to continue to rally behind Michael over these next few months. -Courtney

Hey All! This is Courtney Pinkham-Martin, I am here asking for our community to rally around our dear friend, Michael Dameron. Michael was recently diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma, which is an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Unfortunately, things have not been off to a good start, after getting diagnosed just a few weeks ago he has already been moved up to St Louis University Hospital, and they will be running additional tests early this week (7/10/2023) to determine what stage and more specifics, but currently they are planning to remove the swollen lymph node and start chemo immediately. I will keep you all updated as soon as we know more. I feel safe in saying that Michael will not be able to work for at least the next two weeks, depending on the chemo, it might be even longer, his treatments will be in St Louis, and all of this is going to be an extreme financial strain on Michael. I am asking for all of your help so this way he will not have to worry about finances, and he can concentrate on healing himself. If you know Michael, you know he is the kindest, sweetest human on the planet, he would literally do anything to help out someone. Truly anything you can give will help and let Michael know that he is a loved member of our community.
