Support for Michael Macdonald & Family

As many of you may know, Michael MacDonald was in a life altering accident the night of January 6th, 2024.

Michael received the upmost incredible care that the Cape Breton Healthcare system has to offer, and it is because of them that he is with us today. He was airlifted to Halifax early morning of January 7th, and will remain there for a prolonged period of time. He remains in critical condition, and will require a number of surgeries and procedures in the coming days, as well as an extensive amount of physical therapy throughout his recovery process.

His family remains at his side, his parents, Dan R & Alison MacDonald, his siblings, Danielle (Colin) Bonnar & Hollie MacDonald, his long time partner Sara McMahon, and their families. Michael and his family are all from Cape Breton, and are therefore currently displaced for an unknown amount of time. We are hoping that this go fund me can help alleviate any additional stress that they would have in association with costs of lodging, meals, etc, so that they may be present and put their full energy into supporting Michael on this road ahead.

Michael MacDonald is nothing short of Pure Joy. He is what many of his friends and family would consider the ‘glue’ that keeps us together. He is one of the most selfless, hard working individuals to ever grace the earth, and the greatest friend you could ever ask for. His strength has always been immense, but he has shown us that we had no idea how strong he truly is.
