In Memory of Logan: Support for Michelle Tindell
Hi, I’m Becca Davis. My husband Brad and I have known Logan and Michelle Tindell for about 10 years - Brad and Logan were in grad school together at ETSU for counseling. Logan and Michelle are smart, kind, and responsible people who are going through a hard time and need our help.
Despite being fully vaccinated, Logan contracted COVID and then double pneumonia which landed him in the hospital on August 21st. He had to be put on a ventilator on August 29th, and is also now receiving kidney dialysis. He is heavily sedated and making progress in some areas but not others. He has a long road to recovery.
The medical bills will be staggering. Fortunately, they have good medical insurance through Michelle’s work. She is a teacher at Sullivan Central Middle School. They will still be responsible for thousands of dollars, however.
Logan recently left Frontier Health, a nonprofit mental health service provider where he worked for several years. He is now working in a private practice. Unfortunately, this means that he no longer has benefits like short-term disability or paid time off. Every day he’s in the hospital means lost income for his family.
We’re hoping to raise at least $5,000 to cover the medical costs and fund some regular bills that would normally be paid by Logan’s income too. Michelle is very thankful for everyone’s support. Contributions of any amount will be grateful accepted.
