Support for Mike During His Journey with Cancer

Let’s help Mike through this difficult time..
At only 58 years old he was diagnosed with a rare form cancer. In the beginning of April, He was admitted into the hospital and had a stint put in to help with the blockage causing his current health issues. He was told they suspected cancer from his blood markers. After meeting with cancer specialist they confirmed he had Cholangiocarcinma.....bile duct cancer. It's a aggressive form of cancer that starts in the bile ducts that leads from the gallbladder to the liver and surrounding lymph nodes. Best prognosis was surgery to remove the blockage then chemo to clean it all up. He has been to many appointments with cancer specialist and they had a plan of action starting with surgery; which unfortunately did not go as planned. On May 20th, When they went in to do the surgery - they did a scope first and saw that the cancer had already spread like wildfire and was already into his diaphragm. They cancelled the surgery as it would no longer benefit him. After the surgery team had looked over the findings, they deemed his cancer now to be stage 4 metastatic adenocarcinoma. Without treatment they gave him a time frame of under a year of life left.
As of June 11th, He has started chemo treatments weekly. He will be doing these treatments for the next few months as long as his body can tolerate it. We do not know if these treatments will save his life or just prolong it, but they (and we) are hoping that with these treatments it can extend his life as much as possible. We are not ready to loose this great man. He has parents, a daughter, grandchildren, siblings and friends who all want him around much longer.
He has been out of work since may and is beginning to worry of the financial struggle hes going to run into. There’s no say as to how long he will be out of work as of now.. During his surgery, they did a epidural which damaged a nerve in his foot/ankle and is having issues using it currently. Mike has worked his butt off in his years of life and shouldn't need to be worrying about facing this burden now in his time of need. We'd love to have friends/family help him during this time of need. With his costly co-pays and living expenses we wanted to try to make sure he is not struggling while focusing on his health. Mike would help anyone in a blink of an eye so let’s help him while he kicks cancers ass!!
**Even if you cannot donate, please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Thank you so much for being a fantastic support system for him. He truly appreciates all of you!**
