Support for the Webb Family’s Recovery Journey

I'm raising funds to support a friend close to my heart, Michael Webb, as he recently suffered a massive stroke that has changed his life and will affect his and his family's life forever. I aim to raise money to cover Mike's future medical costs and help provide the Webb family with their essential needs during this difficult time. Your support can make a real difference in their lives as the Webb family faces challenging times ahead, both mentally and physically. No donation is too small, and every little bit helps. Mike Webb, 38, is a dedicated, loving husband and father who always puts his family first. He and his wife (Loma) have been married for eight years and have three beautiful children together: a daughter (Emma, age 6) and sons (Micah and Milam, ages 4 months: twins). Mike is a very giving person who is always willing to help anyone in need and has a great sense of humor.

On June 27th, 2024, Mike suffered a massive stroke that left him paralyzed on the right side of his body, with little movement on his left side, very little to no speech communication, and slow reaction time. Mike required emergency surgery where doctors removed the left side of his skull to alleviate the pressure in his head due to the massive swelling of his brain. After being released from the hospital, Mike will have to undergo intense rehabilitation at a facility for several weeks, where he will work on his movement, speaking, and swallowing. Although we continue to pray and trust in God, the current prognosis by doctors is that Mike will never regain movement on his right side, and if he does, it will not be even close to normal function ever again.

Mike is an 11-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department who, according to doctors, will not be able to recover so that he may get back to the job he loves. Mike is an outstanding police officer and has served the City of Chicago over the past 11 years with professionalism and dedication to all.

First, I would like to give a huge, heartfelt thank you to all who have donated and shared Mike’s story. Without your support, we could not have gotten this far. Please continue to pray for the Webb family as they continue their long journey to recovery.

The Webb family has also expressed gratitude for the love, prayers, well wishes, and donations everyone has given thus far. The outpouring of support has been overwhelming and has positively impacted the entire family, giving them the emotional boost they needed at the onset.

Although out of the ICU, Mike is still currently admitted to the hospital and is being closely monitored as doctors try to get him stable and strong enough to be moved to a rehabilitation facility.
