Support for Mitchelson Family-In Memory of an incredible Dad
Donation protected
Our hearts are shattered as we try to process the unimaginable loss of Ash. He was more than just a partner, son, brother, and uncle—he was a devoted father to two beautiful little girls, Cobi (aged 4) and Coah (aged 1). They were his entire world, and he was theirs.
What was meant to be a simple overnight golf trip with his close friends turned into a devastating tragedy. Ash never came home. A sudden catastrophic brain bleed took him far too soon, leaving behind a family who loved him beyond words.
In the midst of their grief, Ash’s family made the incredibly selfless decision to donate his organs—one final act of kindness from a man who always put others before himself. But in a cruel and heartbreaking twist, tests revealed that Ash had a rare and aggressive cancer known as spindle cell carcinoma. Although able to still donate his Cornea to allow someone else to have the opportunity to see the world through his eyes, this discovery meant he was unable to donate any organs. A devastating reality for someone who would have wanted nothing more than to help others, even in death. But we know Ash—his wish would be that his diagnosis could raise awareness, possibly helping to save lives in a different way.
Now, his partner Delaney faces the impossible task of raising their two little girls without him. On top of her grief, she is left with overwhelming financial burdens—mortgage payments, car loans, and daily expenses that Ash helped provide for. No mother should have to navigate this pain while worrying about how she will keep a roof over her children’s heads.
Right now, Delaney and the girls need all the love and support we can give. While we can’t take away their heartbreak, we can come together to ease some of the financial stress and give Delaney the time she needs to grieve without the stress of financials.
If you can donate, no matter how big or small, it will make a difference in their lives. If you can’t, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word.
Ash was a man who gave so much of himself to others. Now, let’s come together to give back to the family he left behind. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this heartbreaking time.
