Support for Vickie Tkacz's Flood Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
I am reaching out to you on behalf of Vickie Tkacz, with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency.
On 8/18/2024, a relentless storm brought record-breaking rainfall that led to severe flooding in our area. Despite the best efforts to protect my mothers home, the floodwaters rose too quickly, causing extensive damage and leaving her possessions and treasured memories ruined. The house is no longer habitable, and the repair costs are far beyond what she can manage on her own. Unfortunately she didn't carry a flood insurance policy on the house.
The waters surged violently, inundating my mother’s home with 3 to 5 inches of sand and mud. The damage is extensive: broken glass litters the floors, furniture has been displaced and destroyed, the septic system has been exposed, and the leaching fields have been torn apart.
It’s our turn to support her in her time of need. This catastrophic event has left her without a safe place to call home and with an overwhelming task of rebuilding her life from scratch.
We are raising funds to provide my mother with the immediate support she needs to get back on her feet. Your generous contributions will go directly towards:
- Emergency housing and temporary living expenses
- Rebuilding and repairing her home (if possible)
- Replacing essential belongings and personal items lost in the flood
- Addressing any unexpected costs that arise during the recovery process
Every single donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in her recovery and provide some much-needed relief during this challenging time.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your support, whether through donations, sharing this campaign, or offering kind words. Your compassion and generosity mean more than words can express, and they give us hope that brighter days are ahead. Thank you for helping my mother rebuild her life after this devastating flood.
Sincerely,
Brad Tkacz
