My brother Patrick Gooley was known to his family, friends, neighbors, fellow contractors, and customers as a most kind and generous man. A loving husband to Nancy, stepfather to her three children, grandfather to 6 grandchildren. Patrick, a self-employed electrician, passed away suddenly, last Thursday, while renovating a client's home. At the very moment when jobs are scarce, promises of payments due are broken, the household bills are stacking up, and the account is empty, Patrick's good heart fails him. His generosity extended to all he encountered and as such we often called him our George Bailey. Like George Bailey he gave his service, his time, and his support with no consideration for himself. Often relying upon trust for repayment or carrying the load of others when he did not have to. Lacking life insurance, this go fund me page will help support Nancy over the next few months, and ensure a proper funeral for Patrick.
