On Wednesday the 5th of February, Doug was having severe chest pains. He went to the emergency room, where they found his enzyme levels were raised. Upon further tests, they found out he would have suffered from a heart attack and was then rushed to Prisma Health Heart Hospital in Columbia. Unfortunately, Doug must undergo triple bypass surgery on Thursday the 13th.
Doug has been a staple in the Sumter community for over 30 years. He has served our country in the Air Force for 27 years, going on numerous deployments such as Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. All while being a devoted husband, father, friend & grandfather. After retiring from the military, Doug still wanted to find a way to serve his community. Doug is currently a full time Deputy Sheriff for the Sumter County Sheriffs Department. After this untimely medical emergency, he will be out of work for at least 3 months. Which leaves his family with the weight of the medical expenses as well as the cost of living. His wife Tammy takes care of their grandchildren fulltime. However, after this incident, she will be devoting her time to taking care of Doug, which leaves the Narduzzi family with little to no income for several months. Medical expenses are piling up quickly and have become very overwhelming.
This is a very hard time for the Narduzzi family. If you're reading this, I'm sure the Narduzzi family has touched your heart or supported you in some way. Any contribution will help immensely. Even if you are unable to financially contribute, a prayer for the family would be so greatly appreciated.
