From the ashes, rise Johnny Cash & the American Flag!
This weekend we received a gift we never thought possible.
When my daughter, Jordan Lee was 16, she drew a charcoal rendition of Johnny Cash on a piece of cardboard and gave it to me for Christmas. I framed it, and it has hung near an American Flag for the past decade.
On a fragment of wall left standing hung “Johnny Cash” and across from it the American Flag. The Recovery Team was so moved by the “what’s the chances of that happening”, they removed both items and tracked us down.
A moving and wonderful moment.
How did we get to Downtown Nashville?
We transplanted here in 1995. Raised our family and call TN home. 10 years ago, we had a dream to take our knowledge of product and buying and bring it to downtown Nashville. It started with Geff peering in a very dirty window on 2nd Ave N. Researching and finding out the building owner as it didn't even have a for rent sign in the window. Over the years our goal has been to offer a great shopping experience and value to the guests visiting our great city. We have made many friends over the past year and our staff has become family.

This go fund me is to support the business owners and staff of Ensemble Nashville and Simply the Best. These owners and staff members have been impacted with with COVID-19, protests and riots, and now have been impacted by the total loss of their businesses due to the explosion and attack on Nashville. All funds received will be split between the two businesses and given to the owners of the business to distribute as they see fit.
All three businesses are owned by Nashvillians. They aren't big corporate entities, they are your neighbors. They have struggled through the loss of foot traffic and tourists due to the last 9 months of COVID restrictions, but now they will have total losses due to the blast of Christmas morning 2020.
If Nashville is near and dear to your heart, know that it needs the small shops in the midst of the downtown area. Without these stores, tourists and locals are missing out on amazing fashion boutiques, tattoos, and the spirit of Nashville. Please join us in supporting these businesses as they start to put the pieces back together.
