Support for Nicole Byrne & Family

We as Nicole's family & friends are setting up this gofundme page to help Nicole & her family as she battles with the devastating diagnosis of a rare form of adrenal cancer. Nicole has been given the heartbreaking news that her cancer is incurable and inoperable.

In the last 4 weeks, Nicole's life has dramatically changed, just 4 weeks ago she was living her life like any other 20 year old and now Nicole is in Tallaght Hospital after 3 days in ICU fighting for her life. She is now stable in a ward spending as much time as she has left with her family and friends. We are hoping for some good days as just this past weekend we thought the worst was going to happen. 

Nicole has been told she has possibly 12 to 18 months to live, like many cancers, Nicole's cancer has spread to other areas of her body by the time it was detected. Due to the nature of her cancer and treatment, Nicole is immunocompromised and this is further impacting her family and friends and the support system they can have around them.

As you can imagine, this diagnosis is utterly heartbreaking for Nicole, her parents and siblings, her boyfriend Timi, her family and her wide circle of friends.

To know Nicole is to love Nicole, she is a 1 in a million daughter, sister, girlfriend, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She is a gorgeous, kind, witty, intelligent, strong and very brave young girl with a wonderful sense of humour and a strength beyond her years.

She should be planning for a very bright future and instead is fighting this horrible disease.

 

We want to help in any way we can, as you all know the bills dont stop, even in times like this.

We want Nicole's parents Dave & Colette and her sister Rachel and brother Shane to be able to devote their time to Nicole without worrying about how the bills will be paid.

Nicole and her family have a very tough road ahead as they navigate their way through this very scary diagnosis, we want to take the stress and pressure off them all by helping financially.

Our goal is simple, we want to help them with medical and living expenses over the next 12 to 18 months, as well as giving them the freedom to spend precious time with Nicole and create lasting memories - pamper days, along with days out and as much time together as a family of 5.
