Nicole Parrett's Story

In November of 2017, at 7 months pregnant with their second child, Nicole and her husband Nathan were notified of a mass in Nicole’s thoracic cavity near her heart.

At this time, medical professionals made the decision that surgery could wait so that Nicole could bring their son to full term and give birth naturally. On February 10th Norah (2 years old) became a big sister, as Nathan and Nicole’s second child, Nolan was born a happy and healthy baby boy.

Nicole was scheduled for a operation to extract the tumor just 5 weeks after Nolan was born. The tumor was larger than anyone had hoped and was wrapped around her phrenic nerves and vena cava.

Nicole was discharged 3 days after her operation to be home to spend time with her family and recover, and all anxiously awaited the news of the tumor biopsy.

On Thursday, March 29, Nicole received the phone call that she had stage 2 Hogkins Lymphoma, and would need to start 4-6 months of chemo therapy as soon as possible.

While Nicole and her family know that Nicole will battle this disease with all their heart, and win, the fight will come with many challenges - one of which being financial.

Nicole’s best friends have started this gofundme page to support Nicole, Nathan, Norah, and Nolan, as they embark on the most challenging journey of their young lives to support with the many financial needs of the family at this difficult time. All money raised will go towards: supplementing family income, any additional medical costs associated with Nicole’s treatment and the family’s needs.
