Support for Officer Christy Meier's Family

It is with the most heavy heart that the Sunset Hills Police Department announces the unexpected passing of one of our officers. Police Officer Christy Meier passed away at her home on 11/12/21 after working a night shift at the Police Department.

Officer Meier has dedicated the last 14 years of her life to service of the residents of Jefferson County and Sunset Hills, serving as a Jefferson County Sheriffs Deputy from 2007 to 2013 and Sunset Hills Police Officer from 2013 to present. As an agency we are grieving, knowing each officer, like members of the community had different and unique experiences with Officer Meier. Our most heartfelt condolences and sorrow to her loving family as she leaves behind a husband, two children, a grandchild, and numerous other extended family. Rest In Peace Officer Christy Meier.
