Support for Pastors Joe and Dorris Pittman in Crisis
Donation protected
On June 3rd, Pastors Joe and Dorris Pittman, of Tyler, Texas, lost everything they owned when a terrible storm with possible tornados hit the area where they live. They have no insurance and are unable to work. Please help us help them. They have given to help others all of their lives and now they need our help. This couple is in their senior years and all that they have worked for was in their home. Now they are relying on all of us to lend a hand. If is is only a few dollars, and we know everyone is hurting right now, please give.
I am a part of the ministry team at the church and have known them for a few years. Many of our church members are older adults on fixed income, as the Pittmans are, and are doing all they can to help them find a place to live and the basic necessities. You don't realize how much you need until you really lose everything. They even lost their beloved dog during this awful time. The biggest need right now is housing and utilities, but they will be starting from scratch, needing clothes, kitchen wares, and all of the basics. We will be doing all we can to help and we hate to ask for additional help, but this is more than our little church can handle and these are really good and deserving people, who would never ask for help for themselves.
Please help us help them. May God bless you and them through your giving. Thank you.
