Support for Pat, Quinten and Family after tragic house fire
Donation protected
On Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, our family was struck by a devastating tragedy. My name is Cozette, granddaughter of Pat (Patrick) and Ruth, and niece of Callie (Callista) and Quinten. A fire broke out at my grandparents home. My grandpa was thankfully able to escape, however his lifelong love, Ruth, and his stepdaughter, Callie, did not survive—despite the life-saving efforts of first responders.
Ruth had initially made it out of the house safely, but in an act of immense love and courage, she ran back inside in an attempt to save her family. That was the kind of person Ruth was—selfless, strong, and always thinking of others before herself.
Also living in the home was Ruth’s son and Pat’s stepson, Quinten but he was not home at the time. While we are beyond grateful that Quinten is physically safe, he has lost everything he owned—and most heartbreakingly, his beloved mom and sister. He loved them tremendously and is now trying to process an unimaginable loss.
Pat and Quinten now face the impossible task of navigating life without Ruth and Callie, while also trying to rebuild from the ground up. Their home is gone. Their memories, photos, belongings—everything was lost in the fire.
Ruth and Callie were the kind of people who would do anything to help others. They didn’t have much, but they gave all they could—through kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. Now, we have the chance to carry that same spirit forward in their honor.
We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, replace essential belongings, secure housing for Pat and Quinten, and provide some relief as they begin to heal from this unimaginable loss.
If you’re able to give, no matter the amount, we are deeply grateful. If you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this page to help us spread the word.
Thank you for holding our family in your hearts during this incredibly difficult time.
