Support for Patrick Wood's Cremation Costs

On February 26, 2025 at around 3:30pm, my brother, Patrick Stuart Wood Age 33, shot himself in the head in Freeport, TX.

He was life flighted to Hermann Memorial alive. But after the neurosurgeon looked at him, he said it wasn’t good. Too much damage had been done to his brain. By the next day, he was brain dead.

His organs will be donated and he will be cremated, as per his wishes.

This was very sudden and unexpected. Our mom had talked to him that morning and he seemed fine.

And so. We need help. My brother left behind a small amount of money. But not enough for the cremation.

He is survived by his father and his wife, Michael and Jenny Wood. His mother and her husband, Billie and Greg Phillips. His sister, Shelby Wood.

And most importantly, his four year old Daughter, McKenna Wood.

All money received will be given to my mother. As she isn’t super understanding of tech, I have decided to be the one who gets the money. You are also welcome to reach out to my mother to send her money directly. She may not know how. Please ask her first.

We appreciate anything that will help us through this tough time. Please share a memory of my brother if you have one. Please remember others can see it including family.
