Support for Pio Henry P Macalos' medical expenses

Hi, my name is Gretchell Macalos-Yorro and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my whole family for my brother’s medical expenses in the Philippines.

My brother, Pio Henry P. Macalos, suddenly experienced difficulty breathing on Wednesday morning, November 15th and was rushed by his workplace’s chief security personnel to St. Luke’s Hospital since it is the nearest hospital/ER from their office. They placed him in the ICU as he’s also complaining of severe back pain, they ran some tests and the doctors said he is suffering from Aortic Aneurysm and it is critically urgent that he undergo an open-heart surgery. On that same day he underwent the procedure for about 9 hours and thankfully through all of your prayers he is now in stable condition.

For my brother’s only daughter (on the photo with him), her dad is her rock, her anchor that keeps her stable, sane and humble. Her dad is not like your stereotypical ones, as per my niece, Sandra, my brother never gets tired of listening about her day, her girl-talk and all her silly non-sense. He’s the one who gives you unfiltered advice and her #1 supporter in life – and all around. My brother and niece are avid fans of anything zombies. Growing up they would watch anything zombie-related and up until now has always connected them together (even though they live thousands of miles apart). My niece says whether it may be a dream that they had or an idea they would have from ‘surviving the apocalypse’. This time around – this is my niece’s and my whole family’s apocalypse – knowing our loved one is in this condition - is not in any handbook we have explored (as my niece said). For Sandra, her dad will always and remains to be the strongest fighter she ever knows in any circumstance one may think of. But also has the kindest and softest of hearts.

We would like to take this moment to knock on your generous hearts for any amount that can help my brother in this time of need. He has always been a very hardworking person and gives without asking for anything in return.

The estimated expenses will amount to about 3M-4M in Philippine Peso. My brother has a medical insurance but will not be enough to cover all the unexpected medical and hospital bills. Any amount of donation will be sincerely appreciated.
