Penny got out of surgery at 7:40. Everything went very well. She is gping to sleep until morning.

Penny has surgery today at 10:30 for her new heart. Please keep her in your prayers.

Penny’s medical situation has no clear end in sight. The parents are interviewing for a transplant process today. In the event they get to go home and wait, the mom still need to be by her side and protect her from illness in the mean time. That means no work for mom. Her little heart can’t take another illness, as her half a heart and single ventricle is struggling. Penny has a brother as well. The help from our community has been overwhelmingly encouraging, and I’m sure God will provide a way for them to make it through. Donovan, Paula's fiancé, has been working very hard juggling being at the hospital in Dallas and working in Fort Worth. Knowing that this will take a long time is leaving the family very nervous.

My name is Terry and Penny Martin, a sweet little girl, is on her way to Children's hospital in Dallas to wait for a new heart.

The heart adjustments from her last few surgeries have got her to today. But her little heart is not working as it should.
