Support for Rachelle, in Loving Memory of Nicolas Columbo

During the dark hours of May 15th we lost the beautiful and gentle physical presence of Nicolas Columbo to pancreatic cancer. You might have known Nick as a brilliant visual artist, musician, and filmmaker, a deeply caring and wickedly funny friend, or a welcoming smile at the Seven Corners New Seasons Market where he was employed for several years.

Everyone whose life was touched by Nick is feeling a profound loss, and no one was closer to him than his companion, love, and joyful partner of 20 years, Rachelle.

A baker by trade, Rachelle fed Nicolas - body and soul - through their years together. And for the past several months since he could no longer work, Rachelle earned the money to pay the bills while giving him the love, care, and support he needed. She made sure even through his pain and exhaustion, that Nick still experienced joy. Now Rachelle needs our support.

Rachelle’s employer of 15 years, Bipartisan Cafe, is wonderful and doing everything they can to support her, but we want to make sure she can have some time off from work.

Please help Nick and Rachelle’s close friends in supporting Rachelle so she can have time to grieve without the compounded burden of financial struggle.

The money you give to this GoFundMe campaign will go to Rachelle, to offset lost wages and help her afford to maintain the home she and Nicolas shared together, as well as personal expenses, legal fees associated with his passing, and whatever else she may need to honor her beloved and help her through this time of grief. More than anything, Nick would want Rachelle to be okay, and we want that too.
