Support for Rachelle's Memorial and Bills

As some of you know, my little sister Rachelle passed away on August 8th at the age of 22. This was completely unexpected and a huge blow not only as her sister but for her friends and peers. I never thought I’d be making a GoFundMe for my little sister, but here we are.

Rachelle did not have any life insurance or savings, nor am I a beneficiary on her bank account. I am left solely responsible for her bills and funeral expenses. These bills include her half of the rent (we have lived together for the last four years), utilities, and potentially bills that I’m unaware of at this time. I will need to start planning her service in the coming weeks as well and am unsure how expensive it will be.

I’m currently the only immediate family able to take care of her remains and funeral service. Our dad, Mark, is currently battling a very intense upper respiratory infection and kidney failure in the ICU. He is fully intubated and sedated which means he sadly does not know Rachelle has passed and is unable to be a part of this process.

Rachelle was very loved and anyone who knew her will attest to that. She was a musician, an amazing vegan baker, history buff, thrift store connoisseur, DIY hair stylist, cat lover, and so much more. She was only 22 and was still coming into her own in this huge world, I can’t even begin to imagine what she would’ve been like in the next few years.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated and will go towards celebrating Rachelle's life and ensuring I have a roof over my head during this extremely heartbreaking time.
