Support for Randy and Jenn

Jennifer Ingle, Randy Kaneda’s wife, suffered a massive stroke on July 10 and has since been in Kelowna General Hospital, undergoing extensive testing and treatment. Her cognitive capacity continues to be impaired greatly and there appear to be no definitive answers as to diagnosis, prognosis, or recovery. Those of you who know Jenn know her to be fiercely independent and private, which means she kept her own bank account and paid her share of bills on her own. Her memory will not even allow her to access her phone, let alone her bank account, and this is information Randy also cannot access. They have mortgage payments and other bills due now, not to mention the travel to and from Kelowna and Vernon Randy must make, hotel stays, etc. There might be legal fees in the future if Randy needs to obtain a guardianship to gain access to Jenn’s affairs, but for now, the immediate need is just covering monthly expenses and all the maintenance of the home while Randy is mostly in Kelowna caring for Jenn. She has a long road ahead and we need to support Randy in whatever way we can as he helps Jenn navigate this very difficult time.
