Provide for Recovery of Senseless Attack

On December 2, 2018 at 11:00a.m., Krista Brazzill, a single mother of three children, was attacked in a senseless act of violence, when she unexpectedly encountered a transient felon, who was trying to break into her Upland home. 

Krista was getting ready to leave her house for her work Christmas party, when the encounter occurred. She was unexpectedly attacked in her back yard by this individual, who struck her repeatedly in the head with a blunt object and then started strangling her. A vigilant neighbor had called the police when they witnessed the assailant walking around the property before Krista encountered him. When the police arrived, they gave the assailant verbal commands to let her go, but he would not release his hold on her. The police then tasered the assailant, who finally released Krista. Police performed CPR and she was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where she still remains. Doctors are still unsure of the extent of damage.

Anyone who knows Krista can attest to the fact that she is one of the most caring, selfless, and helpful individuals. Krista is a friend who can always be relied on, and is always ready and welcome to help others in need.  Her three children describe her as a fully engaged loving parent who works three jobs to support her family. Krista’s positive personality is contagious, and her generosity and loyalty are very noble. Her friends and family also know how tenacious she is, and ask you to keep her in your prayers for a quick and full recovery. No one deserves such a random and senseless act of violence. 

Krista’s family and friends would sincerely appreciate any funds that are donated. These funds are needed to assist with surmounting medical bills, moving expenses, and living costs as it is unknown how long Krista’s recovery will take before she is able to return to work. All funds collected will be used exclusively for Krista’s recovery ahead.
