Support for Rick Corsey's Cremation Services
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Renee Corsey. My father, Rick Corsey, has passed away on October 20th, 2024, due to his battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma cancer. My dad was diagnosed with cancer in July, and he did not let me know he was sick until the end of August, basically September. Shortly after he told me about his diagnosis, he ended up in the hospital due to some other complications he was having. After a few weeks there, he was transferred to Promise Hospital, where he ended up passing away. The cancer took over his body very rapidly. He was skin and bones, couldn’t eat or swallow fluids. He was not able to hold a conversation and didn’t really know what was going on around him. My dad and I never had any conversations about this type of stuff. This all truly has happened so fast. I am still in shock about what’s happened. I remember my dad telling me that he had a follow-up appointment with his doctor for his biopsies before he ended up in the hospital (where he declined rapidly). He never made it to that appointment. I believe that he had hope that there was something that could be done for him, but he was too sick for cancer treatment. The doctors told me that chemotherapy would have killed him. I officially said my goodbyes to him on October 31st and made decisions for him to be cremated. I believe that is what he would have wanted. Unfortunately, due to how fast all of this has happened, I do not have the funds to cover how much the services will cost. For those of you who know me personally, you know how much I don’t like having to ask for help. I have 28 days to come up with the cost of his services I feel at a loss right now and don’t know what else to do. If you can, and have it in your heart to donate, I would be so greatly appreciative. I ask that you please help me by sharing my story.
Thank you kindly,
Renee
