On March 26, 2018, there was a head on collision involving a lumber truck and a chip truck on Highway 97 north of Quesnel, BC. When the trucks collided they burst into flames. Rob, the driver of the chip truck, was pulled from the burning wreckage by bystanders and a work colleague and rushed to the hospital in Prince George. His injuries were extensive: he broke both arms/wrists and his clavicle, his hip was shattered and he suffered severe burns to 30% of his body. The next day he was air lifted to Vancouver to be admitted to the burn unit and is currently awaiting surgery to fix his broken limbs. His wife, Gloria, travelled from Quesnel to Vancouver to be by his side and will remain with him during his recovery.
This fund has been started to assist Rob and Gloria with the costs associated with travel, accommdations, lost wages, etc. so they can focus all of their energy on his recovery.
