Support for Roger Haworth's Family

This is my first time using GoFundMe… if you have any fundraising tips, let me know. Mom unfortunately needs money for Dad’s funeral and memorial expenses. Any money left over will go to my Mom for her medical expenses and home repair in the aftermath of the recent tornado in Pleasant Hill. Thank you in advance for giving.

Roger Haworth was a good husband and a great father, always putting his family first. With his off beat sense of humor and positive attitude, he was well liked at work and in the community.

Unfortunately, ill health in his later years depleted his savings and left him unable to leave money behind to fund his own funeral or memorial. The recent tornado that swept through Pleasant Hill also left damage to his home where he lived with his wife and son. For these reasons this campaign has been launched to fund his burial expenses and memorial service, with any leftover funds going to his widow.

Roger Allen Haworth, 73, passed away May 18, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He was born April 16, 1951 in Council Bluffs, IA. to George Eldon Haworth and Marjorie (Smith) Haworth.

​He was a 1969 graduate of Mediapolis High School and had worked for Sears, Qwest, Light Expressions, O’Callaghan’s, and American TV and Appliances. After his retirement he was able to do what he loved most spending time with his wife and son.

​He is survived by his wife Sue Haworth and son Scott Haworth both of Pleasant Hill and his brother David Haworth of Fort Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carol and Susan.
