Support for Roman Martinez

If you're reading this, then you are fortunate enough to know Roman Martinez and/or his late husband, Andrew Foster. Whether you know them from a stage production, a flight on the airline they both worked for, from the community or another connection, you know the light and joy they've brought to our lives.

They've both given so much to so many over the years with their friendship, talents, and love to all of us. Now, it's our turn to give back.

As we all sadly know after a lengthly hospital stay, our dear Andrew passed away on January 8th, 2024. He fought valiantly and courageously along with his medical team. He endured emergency heart surgery, a heart pump, went through rigorous testing to be placed on the transplant list, yet passed before he could receive a new heart.

Roman was off work this entire time to be by Andrew's side. The financial toll with both of them being away from work for so long was not a small thing. Now as Roman grieves and begins his new normal, this is where we can help.

Initially, Andrew and Roman had reluctantly but humbly agreed to allow us to raise money for their financial needs this coming year. Andrew knew there would be a monetary strain with his expected heart transplant recovery and Roman staying home to care for him.

The circumstances have now changed, yet our goal remains the same: Above all else, Andrew wanted Roman taken care of, and we are committed to fulfilling that wish.

Every dollar raised will go straight to Roman (aside from GoFundMe's transaction fee of 2.9% +$0.30 that we cannot prevent) and he has complete access and control of this account.
