Support for Ryleigh and the Farson Family

On Sunday, July 30th, my 14-year-old niece Ryleigh Farson was involved in a UTV accident. Her legs were pinned under the UTV. She was life-flighted to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita where she underwent emergency surgery. She broke both bones in her ankle with significant nerve damage. She currently has 4 pins and an external rod in her ankle. Things were looking good and then took a turn backwards. She was flown this afternoon, Saturday, August 5th to Children's Mercy for concerns with the wound and how it's healing.

As much as they don't like asking for help, this is just the beginning of a very long journey for both Ryleigh and her parents Matt and DeLynn Farson. She might be facing additional surgeries and we don't know how long she will be in the hospital, let alone all of the follow-up visits and rehabilitation. The life-flight helicopter ride to Wesley and now the plane flight to Children's Mercy alone will be huge expenses. This fund will hopefully help Matt and DeLynn with all of these things and provide a fund for the additional expenses of gas money, meals, hotel rooms and to assist with the time they will have to take off work.

Ryleigh is an amazing beautiful teenager who is active in sports, school activities, 4-H and working on the farm with her dad. She has spent the past year working hard on the local rodeo committee with her parents. The rodeo and local county fair happened this week and they had to watch all the events from a hospital room. Ryleigh had been working hard all summer on her 4-H Steer 'Roberto. She had to miss showing him while a friend did it for her. She is getting ready to start her freshman year at Abilene High School.
