Support for Sav Boro after Boat Fire
Donation protected
On April 23rd Sav woke up at 3 am to his houseboat in flames in Burgoyne Bay.
Sav lost everything including his 30 years' worth of original paintings. Luckily, he was able to save his beloved Maine Coon cat.
Many of us have known Sav over the 20 years he has been a part of our community on Salt Spring Island and know the incredible artist that he is. As a naturalist and wildlife/landscape artist, Sav started to paint at a young age in Kenya, where he was born and raised. He started a 7-year painting apprenticeship at the age of 18 and sold his first painting soon after at 20 years old.
He used his boat as both his home and art studio and our goal is to raise money to help him buy another boat/home.
The Funds Raised will be used for:
• Boat/Home
• Art supplies/Canvases
• Studio Rental
• Obligation for coastal clean up
• Basic Supplies
If anyone has any of Sav's original Paintings on the island and a willingness for prints to be made from them, that would be greatly appreciated. [email redacted]
I have attached a video of some of Sav's artwork, 30% of the Paintings in this video were burned...

Thanks so much for being willing to support, please share far and wide :)
