Our names are Janina Piwinski, Margaret Langer and Mariola Jackowski. We are volunteers working for the Mission for the Poor by Saint Hyacinth Basilica in Chicago. Each of us had a chance to visit the mission in Tanzania and witness the amazing work of the missionaries in this country.

Szanowni Darczyńcy, dzięki Waszej pomocy został wybudowany internat przy Szkole Podstawowej Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego w wiosce Buhemba, w Tanzanii.

W tym roku Szkoła ta została uznana za najlepszą placówkę oświatową w grupie kilku województw i za trzecią w całej Tanzanii (w zeszłym roku była piąta).

Obecnie prosimy o wsparcie nowej inwestycji - Średniej Szkoły Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego w Buhembie.

Misja w Buhembie wraz ze szkołą została założona przez Zgromadzenie Księży Zmartwychwstańców sześć lat temu. Od początku jest prowadzona przez misjonarza z Polski, ks. proboszcza Macieja Brauna CR, który z pomocą ludzi dobrej woli z wielu krajów stworzył jedną z najlepszych placówek edukacyjnych w Tanzanii służącą najbiedniejszym dzieciom z regionu Buhemby.

W grudniu 2022 roku, ks. Maciej zaczął budowę szkoły średniej, by pierwsza grupa dzieci, które skończą Szkołę Podstawową Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego w roku 2024, mogła kontynuować naukę w Buhembie. Wysoki poziom nauczania zapewnią odpowiednio wykształceni i dobrani nauczyciele. Ukończenie tej szkoły średniej zapewni jej absolwentom społeczną przydatność i odpowiednie perspektywy życiowe i zawodowe.

Apelujemy do ludzi dobrej woli o pomoc w budowie szkoły. Obecnie jest skończona budowy murów budynku. Następnym etapem jest konstrukcja dachu, co będzie kosztować $35,000.00 USD. Prosimy Was Kochani z całego serca o pomoc w zebraniu pieniędzy na założenie dachu. Każda przekazana na ten cel suma będzie bardzo pomocna.

Dear Supporters and Benefactors, thanks to your help a boarding house has been built in the Resurrection Primary School located in the small village of Buhemba, Tanzania.

Currently, this school is recognized as the best educational institution in the region and a third one in Tanzania (last year it took the fifth place).

Currently we are asking for support of the construction of the Resurrection Secondary School in Buhemba.

The mission and the school in Buhemba were established by the Congregation of the Resurrectionists six years ago and from the beginning a missionary from Poland, Father Maciej Braun CR guided them both. Fr. Maciej with the help of people of good will from many countries created one of the best educational institutions in Tanzania that serves some of the poorest children from Buhemba and nearest villages.

In December 2022, Fr. Maciej started the construction of a secondary school to enable the first group of graduates in 2024 continuation of the education in Buhemba. A high level of education will be guaranteed by properly educated and selected teachers. Graduating from this high school will provide its alumni with good jobs, social usefulness and relevant career prospects.

We appeal to people of good will to help in building the school. Currently, the construction of the walls is finished. The next stage is the roof construction, which will cost $35,000.00 USD. We are asking you, Dear Friends, to help us raise money for the roof construction.
