Support for Seretha Tucker in Memory of David Tucker
Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Tucker, an extraordinary husband, father, uncle, grandfather/great-grandfather, friend, and brother. David's unwavering love and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met. On July 13, 2024, at the age of 78, David peacefully passed away in his sleep after a long battle with diabetes and other health issues requiring dialysis.
David's beloved wife of 38 years, Seretha, with whom he shared a total of 47 years, is now facing an overwhelming challenge. Due to her disability and the loss of David's income, she is left with limited financial resources to cover their monthly expenses. While she will only receive survivor benefits through social security, these funds are insufficient to meet her needs.
David dedicated his career as a meatcutter/butcher and worked at many grocery store food chains in the Durham/Chapel Hill area. He served in the US Army and, in the 1980s, served as the President of the Bull City Riders Motorcycle Club.
We are reaching out to you, our cherished community, for support during this difficult time. The funds raised will be used initially to cover David's funeral expenses, and any remaining contributions will go towards helping Seretha with her mortgage and extended medical expenses.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, at First Calvary Baptist Church, located at 1311 Morehead Ave, Durham, NC 27707. Viewing and receiving friends will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by the service at 12:00 pm.
David dedicated his life to helping others, and now we have the opportunity to honor his memory by supporting Seretha in her time of need. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and provide much-needed relief. This campaign will remain open until the goal is reached.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
