Support for Shane through injuries

Dear friends and supporters,

I am Michelle Fuller, reaching out on behalf of my brother, Shane. Shane’s life took an unexpected turn on January 13, 2024, when he endured a leg injury and spinal fracture after slipping on ice at his job.

Shane had a very active lifestyle – he has a passion for working out and a strong love for baseball, basketball, golf, bmx, and many other sports, now finds himself facing a challenging journey. The incident resulted in a broken ankle with multiple fractures of his Tibia and Fibula, leading to emergency surgery involving 10 screws and a plate. Additionally, a fractured T3 vertebra has left him with a lot of pain. Shane is temporarily residing in a hotel due to the inaccessibility of his second-floor apartment.

In our efforts to support Shane during this difficult time, my sisters and I have initiated a GoFundMe campaign. The purpose is to assist with his living expenses, including accommodation for both Shane and his dog, his best friend, Prince. Though Worker’s Compensation will alleviate some financial burden, it falls short by approximately $1,400/month in covering his current bills, not to mention additional living necessities. With a minimum recovery time of 6-9 months he will not be able to return to the career that he loves for quite some time.

Our family is generally not one that asks for help, which makes this difficult to post. Your contribution, no matter how modest, will make a significant impact on Shane’s living situation and expenses. We sincerely appreciate every donation and the kindness extended during this challenging time.
