Support for Sharath and Vaani family

I am filled with a sense of dread and despair as I recount the terrible events that unfolded on March 2nd, 2023. My dear friends, Vani and Sarath, were involved in a catastrophic accident while driving home from their classes at the University of North Texas. The weather was unforgiving, and the roads were treacherous, with a violent thunderstorm raging on. Despite being just a minute away from home, a speeding car collided with them at the intersection of N MacArthur BLVD at W VALLEY RANCH PKY, causing severe injuries to both Vani and Sarath.

Despite the best efforts of the doctors at Baylor Scott & White Hospital, Vani passed away due to massive internal bleeding. Sarath's injuries were equally severe, with a broken leg and disfigured jaw, leaving him fighting for his life. The medical bills associated with his treatment are astronomical, with only a small fraction covered by insurance. Furthermore, the expenses related to Vani's hospitalization, funeral, and repatriation to India are staggering, leaving us with no choice but to turn to the kindness and generosity of others.

We are launching a fundraising campaign to help ease the financial burden that has fallen upon us. The allocated funds will be used to defray the considerable medical expenses incurred by Sarath, repair the damages to the vehicle, explore legal options to seek justice for Vani's untimely death and provide assistance to Vani's mother, who is a single parent residing in India.

Vani was a gifted individual, and it is a tragedy that her life was cut short in such a senseless manner. She had already completed her bachelor's degree at the age of 19 and had enrolled in her master's program. It is a loss that we will forever mourn, and we hope to seek justice for her.

All the collected funds will be deposited ( wired transfer ) into their bank accounts in the following way.

1. Sarath's medical expenses.

2. Cover the loss of the car.

3. Remaining funds will transfer to Vaani’s mother.
